The thing (nearshore) that you needed, but you didn't know.

While for some, the words nearshore, offshore, outsourcing are similar and represent identical models, for others it seems to be an unknown matter. Software development C-level executives, or team leaders, know quite well the struggle to build teams, train them and keep them united and strong. Models like nearshore team extension created by us here at velv, are being followed around Europe and companies are starting to understand the benefits from this. Not that we invented the wheel or anything, but our approach is definitely different from our competitors, and we’ve learned that from our customers and why they chose us.

However, nearshore or nearshoring can be confusing for some people, not used to hear this word. The responsibility chain, the control, the delivery etc, all points of debate then explaining how this works. By making a cons and pros list, listing a few companies to see their way of work you then get to a decision. Meanwhile the term nearshore sounds more familiar. The more you think about it, the more it makes sense for you (or not). Software development teams are not equal, and there could be a lot of possible arrangements and setups, it is just a matter of understanding which one is the best for your organization.

Thankfully you can support on a team like ours, to help you define it all. Not only explain clearly what is nearshore, the difference between models and arrangements you can choose, who does what and how. Reach out to know more and why our model works best.
