OnRising is now velv!

A collaboration to last.

That’s right, following the success of onRising’s international expansion and after 5 years of co-existence onRising and velv merged into one unique brand, growing it’s amazing engineering culture even more.

OnRising started in 2017 with the clear goal of bringing the human side of technology to the world of IT. Specialized in providing more flexible services to its partners, and working with international clients from all around the globe, onRising rapidly positioned as a high player in the Portuguese market. So much that the exponential growth in the first year of the firm potentiated the birth of a satellite company, with a slightly different approach, more modern and agile that we named velv. During the first years, velv was deep into software development, building apps and platforms with a special touch, where design and usability was in the core of the experience we wanted to give the users. By merging the two companies around 2019 we potentiated an even bigger growth, taking advantage of a broader know-how.

Now after some years (and a pandemic), inevitably, the engineering culture that we crafted spread to both service areas (OnRising and Velv), our projects grew, our know-how expanded, and we noticed that now was the perfect timing to join the brands into one big stronger brand, that delivers a fantastic employee experience, diverse projects and with unique characteristics and benefits that you can only find at velv.
